Honey Spice Bread

The wonderful aroma of this bread will make your mouth water even before you have cut one slice. Your flavor buds won't be disappointed - it's absolutely delicious.

This recipe makes 1 loaf
Milk1/3 cup1/2 cup
Water3 TBSP1/4 cup
Honey1/4 cup1/3 cup
Oil3 TBSP1/4 cup
Egg, large11
Bread Flour3 cups4 cups
Salt1 tsp1+1/2 tsp
Coriander2 tsp1 TBSP
Cinnamon1/2 tsp3/4 tsp
Cloves1/8 tsp1/4 tsp
Active Dry Yeast2+1/4 tsp1 TBSP
Bread Machine Method

Place room temperature ingredients in pan in the order listed. Select a Basic cycle and Light crust. Do not use the delay timer. See our Bread Machine section for more helpful tips and information.  



You can substitute Instant (fast-rising) yeast for Active Dry Yeast. Traditional methods- replace 1:1. Expect your dough to rise faster; always let your dough rise until ‘ripe’. Bread Machines- use 1/2 tsp Instant yeast (or 3/4 tsp Active Dry yeast) per cup of flour in your recipe. Visit our Lessons in Yeast & Baking for more information.

Just got it out of the bread machine and it tastes as good as it smells - which is wonderful! This is going into my book of favorite bread recipes.
