PIZZA BURGER PIE

Favorite pizza filling in a moist spread-in-the-pan crust.

Filling

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
1/2 teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
1 can (6 oz..) tomato paste
1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained

Crust

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) RED STAR® Active Dry or QUICK•RISE™ Yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup olive oil
1 egg

Topping

1 cup (4 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese

Oven 375ºF

Prepare Filling: Lightly brown beef with salt and pepper; drain. Add onion, Italian seasoning, tomato paste and mushrooms; mix well. Cool.

Prepare Crust: In medium bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar and salt; mix well. Heat sour cream, water and olive oil until warm (120º-130º F). Add to flour mixture. Add egg. Mix by hand until smooth. Spread on bottom and sides of greased 9 or 10-inch pie pan to make crust. Spoon Filling into crust; sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 375ºF for 30 to 35 minutes until light golden brown. Serve immediately.

Bakers Note: Filling can be prepared ahead and refrigerated.
